OPSC Medical Officer Recruitment 2023 Education Qualification
i) Candidates must have possessed an MBBS or equivalent Degree from a Medical College or Medical Institution recognized by the Medical Council of India.
ii) Must have possessed a valid Registration Certificate under the Odisha Medical Registration Act, 1961 (O.A 18 of 1961): Provided that, if a candidate outside the State of Odisha has not registered his name under the Odisha Council of Medical Registration established under Section 3 of the Odisha Medical Registration Act, 1961, he shall get him self registered as per the provisions of the said Act before issue of the appointment order.
iii) Must have possessed the required Conversion Certificates recognized by Medical Council of India (MCI) in case of candidates having Degrees from Universities of Foreign Countries.
Age Limit (As on 01/01/2023)
- Minimum age limit- 21 years
- Maximum age limit- 38 years
- Age relaxation as per the rules.
- SEBC, SC, ST, Women, ExSM- 5 years
- PwDB + 40%- 10 years
- PwDB + SC, ST, SEBC- 15 years
Provided further that, the upper age limit up to 5 years shall be given to the Doctors serving on ad hoc contractual basis under State Government/ State Government Undertaking.
