Education Qualification
A candidate must have to possess a 2nd class Degree in Mining Engineering from a recognized University or Institution.

Selection Process of OPSC Mining Officer 2023
- The Selection Process will be a Written Examination & Viva Voce Test.
- The written examination will consist of 02 papers with a total of 500 marks.
- The questions in both the paper shall be of Objective Type of Multiple Choice Questions.
- Paper – I (General Studies & Awareness Test) shall consist of 100 questions carrying 02 marks each and a total of 200 marks with a duration of 02 hours.
- Paper – II (Specialization Paper – Mining Engineering) Shall consist of 150 questions carrying 02 marks each and a total 300 marks with a duration of 03 hours.
- There shall be negative marking for each wrong answer/ response with a deduction of 25% (one-fourth) of marks allotted to the particular question for both General & Technical Papers.
- The maximum mark for the Viva Voce Test is 50 marks.
